Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Vice President of R&D, this role will interface cross-functionally with departments such as Product Development, Regulatory, Culinary, Sales, Accounting, and Operations. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate innovative dry seasoning blends for industrial food manufacturing customers
• Manage multiple development projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Contribute to the enhancement of product development processes, from benchtop formulation to scale-up and production
• Identify and source new raw materials and supplier partnerships to elevate product uniqueness and quality
• Collaborate with flavor houses and suppliers to develop or discover new ingredients
• Deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders and clientsJob Requirements:Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Meat Science, or a closely related field
  • 4+ years of experience in product development and commercialization, preferably within processed meats
  • Strong project management skills and in-depth technical knowledge of food processing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint); experience with FRM (Formula Recipe Management) is a plus
  • Background in meat science and/or meat processing is required
  • Food service industry experience is a plusSalary: $90,000 - $120,000
