Join our dynamic Front Door Diversion Team as an Outreach and Engagement Specialist, where you'll play a critical role in diverting individuals from emergency departments, inpatient psychiatric units, or the criminal justice system by providing early intervention, linkage to care, and compassionate support.In this role, you will:-- Provide field-based outreach to individuals in crisis or at risk of system involvement-- Build trusting relationships and conduct needs assessments-- Collaborate with behavioral health providers, hospitals, and property managers-- Help clients access housing, medical care, behavioral health services, and other community resources-- Support recovery-focused, person-centered careWhat We're Looking For: We're seeking candidates who are empathetic, culturally competent, and committed to equity in mental health care. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in the field are essential. Ideal Candidates May Also Have:-- Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, or experiencing homelessness-- Knowledge of local community resources and behavioral health systemsThis is a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals-right at the front door of the systems that affect them most.Requirements:The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
