passengers across North and Latin America. Role Purpose Statement
The Food Safety & Quality Supervisor ensures all products
manufactured in the Customer Service Center (CSC) meet or exceed
regulatory, customer, and company standards for food safety and
quality. This role is accountable for implementing, monitoring,
verifying, and continuously improving the facility’s food safety
and quality management systems. This includes ownership of
preventive controls, HACCP programs, prerequisite programs,
sanitation, traceability, allergen management, and associated
documentation. A strong understanding of manufacturing operations,
production processes, and plant-floor workflows is essential to
successfully execute this role. Main Accountabilities Food Safety &
Quality Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with FDA, USDA,
GFSI, customer specifications, and internal food safety and quality
requirements. Monitor, verify, and document the effectiveness of
food safety programs and manufacturing controls. Oversee food
safety CCPs, oPRPs, PRPs, and conduct routine verification
activities as defined in site programs. Provide effective food
safety and GMP training for production and sanitation teams.
Maintain and audit food safety monitoring records to ensure
accuracy and regulatory readiness. Support inspection and audit
preparedness and serve as a key contact during regulatory,
customer, and third-party audits. Assist in food safety incidents,
investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action
development. Conduct periodic quality checks across manufacturing
processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Build strong partnerships with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance,
and Warehouse teams to ensure integrated food safety practices
throughout manufacturing. Enter and maintain data within the
company’s food safety and quality management systems and web-based
portals. Update and manage food safety manuals, SOPs, and relevant
controlled documents regularly. Leadership Responsibilities Plan,
organize, and oversee Food Safety activities within the facility.
Lead, mentor, and develop team members in alignment with HR
policies and company values. Communicate effectively in person, via
phone, and in writing across all levels of the manufacturing
environment. Manage multiple priorities in a fast?paced production
setting while maintaining professionalism and accuracy. Recruit,
onboard, train, and provide ongoing development for Food Safety
team members. Support company initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean
Manufacturing, and continuous improvement efforts. Manage
departmental budgets and ensure cost?efficient execution of food
safety programs. Demonstrate proactive leadership that inspires,
coaches, and drives a culture of food safety across manufacturing
operations. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in
Food Science, Food Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering,
or related field required. PCQI certified and HACCP certified;
strong working knowledge of GFSI standards highly preferred. 1–3
years of relevant experience in food safety within a manufacturing
environment is required. Strong analytical, problem?solving, and
leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence
cross?functional manufacturing teams. In?depth understanding of
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, FDA, and USDA
regulations. Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Collaborative leadership
style that inspires trust, accountability, and continuous
improvement. Proficient in computer applications including
Microsoft Office, cloud?based systems, and manufacturing?floor
technology such as scanners, tablets, printers, and data?capture
