Job Description:
Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution, seeks a
CDL A Delivery Route Driver to join our dedicated fleet team. As a
pivotal part of our operations, your main task will involve
delivering top-quality food and food-related products directly from
our distribution centers to customers across a designated route.
Our drivers not only ensure timely and safe deliveries but serve as
the face of our company, reinforcing our commitment to excellence
in service. This role demands a commitment to safety, efficiency,
and customer-oriented approach. This position is key to maintaining
our reputation and continued success delivering to an array of
customers from quaint family-owned eateries to large national
chains. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle,
ensuring it’s safe and well-maintained. Safely drive and operate
your assigned delivery vehicle within all laws and regulations.
Load and unload food and related products at client sites. Manage
delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain
accurate transportation logs and records. Provide excellent
customer service, resolving any issues during the delivery process.
Comply with company policies and the regulatory requirements
associated with food transportation. Proficiency in driving and
operating delivery vehicles. Strong time management and route
planning abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to manually lift and move product weighing up to 50
