Insurance Defense Attorney Job Description *Confidential application process* One of our top clients in Chicago is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex insurance defense litigation matters, including but not limited to general liability, premises liability, and automobile accidents. Responsibilities: Represent insurance carriers in civil litigation matters, including pre-trial motions, discovery, depositions, and trial proceedings. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective legal strategies. Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents in a timely and accurate manner. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court. Manage a diverse caseload while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the Illinois State Bar. 2-10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. Strong knowledge of Illinois civil procedure and evidence rules. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills.
