Job Description Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer Location:
Hybrid in either Chicago, IL / Des Moines, IA / Sioux Falls, SD Why
This Role Is Exciting This is a high-impact opportunity to shape
how Salesforce changes are delivered across a large, complex
enterprise platform. You will own the delivery engine behind the
Customer Experience application ecosystem by building scalable
CI/CD pipelines, improving release reliability, and driving
consistent, secure deployment practices across multiple teams. If
you enjoy creating repeatable delivery patterns, eliminating manual
work, and elevating DevOps maturity at an organizational level,
this role offers the visibility and technical ownership to do it.
What You Will Do DevOps, CI/CD and Release Delivery Leadership
Architect, implement, and manage standardized CI/CD pipelines for
Salesforce at scale Establish automated build, test, and deployment
workflows that are consistent across teams and environments Define
and enforce pipeline quality controls such as automated testing,
code coverage thresholds, static analysis, and deployment
validations Deliver low-risk, highly reliable releases with clear
rollback and recovery procedures Drive improvements in release
stability, deployment success rates, and recovery times Release
Execution and Production Readiness Design and govern environment
promotion and release workflows Partner closely with Release
Management to execute production deployments Lead deployment
sequencing for complex releases and support go-live stabilization
Ensure full traceability, auditability, and change transparency
across the delivery lifecycle Platform and Environment Stability
Standardize and improve lower environments including sandbox, test,
and staging orgs Collaborate with platform teams on data refresh,
environment readiness, and seeding strategies Provide visibility
into pipeline performance through metrics and operational reporting
Reduce production incidents related to deployment and release
activities Automation, Security and Compliance Embed security
controls and compliance checks directly into the CI/CD workflow
Align DevOps practices with enterprise architecture and security
standards Continuously enhance non-functional delivery requirements
such as reliability, stability, and change failure rate Enterprise
Enablement and Technical Leadership Deliver reusable DevOps
frameworks, templates, and best practices across multiple
Salesforce teams Partner with QA to align automated testing with
pipeline enforcement Mentor engineers on modern DevOps practices
and deployment strategies Create clear ownership and accountability
for delivery processes without becoming a bottleneck What You Bring
Deep experience designing and running CI/CD pipelines for
Salesforce in complex environments Proven success leading DevOps or
release engineering efforts for large, multi-team platforms Strong
understanding of deployment risk management, environment strategy,
and release governance Ability to influence technical direction
through partnership with Product, Architecture, QA, and Platform
teams Excellent communication skills with both technical and
business stakeholders Track record of improving delivery metrics
such as deployment reliability and mean time to recovery Preferred
Background Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a
related field 12 years of IT development experience or equivalent
hands-on expertise Experience serving as a technical lead or
solution architect on complex enterprise initiatives What You Can
