Description:POSITION SUMMARYWorking with the Technical Support
Specialist and reporting to the Interconnect Technology Director,
this position will provide timely, accurate support to our Sales
team, Customers, Representatives and Distribution partners via
phone, email and in person communication.ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES1. Prompt effective communication/responses to
technical inquiries to/from: - Customers - Reps - Distributors -
HRS field sales - Web on-line chat - Need-a-sample2. Become
familiar with Hirose products and structure.3. Become familiar with
appropriate Hirose USA databases and software systems4. Help
communication between customer(s) and Hirose engineering team(s) in
Japan on technical aspects.5. Become familiar with Hirose's
technology as well as competitor's technology on assigned product
lines and be able to communicate the similarities and
differences.6. Establish trust with Hirose Japan engineering
through various coop activities.7. Communicate customer feedback
for product improvements.8. Maintain the highest standards of
integrity and respect for co-workers, customers and prospects;9.
Employee must complete their tasks per ISO9001-2008 requirements,
when applicable.SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES1. Serve as a back-up
Customer Technical Support by providing answers regarding technical
product details.2. Assist QA RoHS and REACH requestsCOMMUNICATION
AND INTERFACE1. Comfortable speaking, reading and writing English
2. Excellent verbal and written communication with all departments
and customers.3. Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook; Internet
searches;4. Timely reporting5. Proactive and not shy in helping
others.SUPERVISIONNo direct reportsPROBLEM SOLVING AND
JUDGEMENTHigh level of creativity analytical thinking ensures
efficiency and professionalism to address technical and business
problems related to current and potential clients.Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, prefer
Manufacturing or Mechanical.2. Understanding of mechanical aptitude
(i.e. intuitive understanding of mechanical processes tolerancing
and dimensioning).3. Excellent communication, presentation, and
negotiation skills to work with customers, and all company
departments, to include Hirose Japan.4. Strong ability to organize
and complete projects with effective communication skills.5.
Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint6.
Positive attitude, proactive mentality, responsive and strong work
ethic.7. Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without
sponsorship.
