Human Resources Generalist is responsible for developing,
implementing, and supporting human resources initiatives in
partnership with plant leadership. This position is accountable to
support a broad continuum of Human Resources accountabilities
including but not limited to positive employee relations,
recruitment and onboarding, talent development, performance
management, compensation and benefits administration, responding to
HR related inquiries and special projects. The HR Generalist
assists in the implementation of Human Resources policies and
procedures and their dissemination through communications and
meetings.Principal Accountabilities30% Leads the site's recruiting
efforts including interviewing candidates and partnering with
Campbell's Talent Acquisition team. Coordinates and conducts new
hire orientation and onboarding activities. Follows up with new
hires during 90-day introductory period. Manages internal job
posting process and employee movement (new hire, termination,
position change, promotion, pay changes, etc.)20% Partners with
plant leadership to support positive employee relations through
proactive communications, consistent application of policies and
procedures, development and implementation of employee-centered
events as well as frequent interactions with employees at all
levels of the organization. Prepares communications related to
various HR related subjects. Administers recognition programs and
coordinates communication. Recommends new approaches, policies, and
procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of
department and services performed. Assists in conducting thorough
and prompt investigations, interpret and explain Company policy,
coach employees as necessary, and ensure that disciplinary action
is administered fairly and consistently. Implements and
communicates policies and procedures through various methods.20%
Responds to requests from employees requesting basic HR
information. This may involve researching programs, policies,
procedures, employee benefits offerings or employee services.
Communicates and facilitates benefit information sessions. Provides
support for the benefits open enrollment process.20% Develop
strategic training and development plans to meet business needs.
Manages the plant's Education and Training budgets. Identify and
source training and development opportunities for the growth of
salaried and hourly employees. Seek and obtain training grants
working closely with local colleges and associations. Drive
continuous improvement results through training. Oversees the
Learning Management System and training documentation. Provide
direction and implement improvements as a CSC Safety Audit section
owner.5% Coordinates exit interviews feedback sessions and other
final day procedures. Responds to unemployment notices/claims and
provides necessary documentation. Processes severance agreements.
Sending termination letters and completing termination processes
and paperwork.5% Leads the coordination of various social events,
benefit events, volunteer activities, community events, job fairs,
and other related facility events. Provides back up to office
services. Regularly files HR paperwork in respective personnel
files and keeps personnel files up to date. Posts HR related flyers
and other information around office location(s).Job Specification*
Supports daily Human Resources operations.* Provide ongoing
recruiting support to the plant management team. Source a diverse
slate of well-qualified candidates, schedule and conduct
interviews, and prepares offer letters in a timely manner.*
Maintain a positive employee relations environment by responding to
all employee relations issues and guiding them to successful
resolution and leading training for front line leaders.* Conduct
thorough and prompt investigations, interpret and explain Company
policy, coach employees as necessary, and ensure that disciplinary
action is administered fairly and consistently.* Drive employee
learning and development by facilitating Campbell University
workshops and other training programs. Identify plant and
individual training needs and develop a curriculum focusing on
managerial/supervisory development, diversity and inclusion, new
hire selection process, objective setting, etc.* Build internal
talent by driving the creation, implementation, and execution of
high-quality development plans which are directly linked to the
annual Succession Planning process.* Assist the Hourly Performance
Management Program.* Partners with the management team to drive
safety performance and employee accountability for safety
throughout the plant.* Provide leadership for the implementation of
unique, site-specific employee engagement programs (in addition to
corporate programs).* Drive high organizational engagement and
empowerment by implementing a survey tool to measure culture, high
performance, and employee engagement. Help managers interpret
survey results, facilitate engagement planning sessions, and
develop and execute robust action plans.* Oversee benefits and
leave of absence administration. Communicate benefit changes,
manage the Annual Enrollment process, and assist employees in
resolving benefit and leave issues.* Provide ongoing leadership for
Downers Grove's continuous improvement initiatives and participate
in and help drive the 5S Program, kaizen events, standard work
development, etc.* Assist in building a high performing culture at
Downers Grove while simultaneously sustaining its unique culture,
as well as implementing other key strategic initiatives.*
Regulatory Compliance - Manage the following compliance activities:
Develop Downers Grove's annual Affirmative Action Plan and
quarterly updates in compliance with Company and EEOC guidelines.
Partner with the Leadership Team to ensure full compliance with
OSHA standards. Drive compliance with FMLA and ADA regulations.*
Audits internal systems and policies including HRIS, employee
files, etc.* Assumes responsibility for ensuring adherence to Food
Safety practices and policiesJob Qualifications* Minimum education
required: Minimum two-year Associate's level degree from an
accredited college or technical school in Human Resources or
related field. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite is essential.*
Education desired: Bachelor's Degree, focus on Human Resources.*
Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 3 years work experience in
Human Resources or related field.* Knowledge, skills, and abilities
required:* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and
written). Must possess strong training/facilitation skills.*
Results oriented. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.* Must
have strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.*
Computer proficiency in Windows-based software applications (i.e.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).* Must be able to build
relationships quickly and create direction without having
positional authority.* Strong attention to detail, inquisitive mind
and not willing to accept information at face value.* Ability to
manage, coach, and develop people, talent, and skills needed for
the job.* Ability to demonstrate and execute against the Campbell
leadership model* Dedicated work habits, takes initiative, sets
high standardsWorking ConditionsThe working environment includes
both office and plant floor settings. Exposure to industrial noise,
forklift traffic, moving mechanical parts, and temperature extremes

Benefits:The base salary range for this full-time, salaried
position is between$61,800.00 - $108,200.00Individual base pay
depends on work location and additional factors such as experience,
