Provide expert neonatal nursing care for high-acuity infants in a Level III NICU setting, supporting babies ranging from 24 weeks gestation and up, including micro preemies and surgical patients. This 12-hour night shift opportunity offers a rewarding environment where your specialized skills directly impact vulnerable newborns growth and recovery. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to NICU patients, including grower feeders and infants on respiratory support. Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage high-acuity neonatal cases, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. Document patient progress and chart in the Epic system accurately and timely. Assist with procedures and support families through education and bedside communication. Float as needed to a nearby campus when census levels require. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active Illinois RN license. Minimum 2 years experience in a Level III NICU. Proven ability to care for neonates from 24 weeks gestation, including micro preemies (approximately 44 weeks gestational age). Current CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Experience working with high-acuity neonatal patients, including those requiring respiratory or surgical care. Familiarity with Epic charting system highly preferred. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7 PM 7 AM). Every other weekend required. Location Overview:Elgin, IL, is a vibrant city offering a blend of suburban comfort and easy access to urban amenities.
