Job Description:
SSM Health is seeking a dedicated RN-Charge Nurse to oversee the
nursing staff and ensure the highest quality of patient care in our
facilities. As a leader in a Catholic, not-for-profit health
system, the RN-Charge Nurse plays a critical role in fulfilling our
mission to deliver comprehensive health services across the
Midwest. This position involves supervising nursing staff,
coordinating patient care, and ensuring adherence to hospital
policies and procedures while embodying the values of our
faith-based organization. Supervise and evaluate nursing staff to
ensure compliance with standards of care. Coordinate the planning
and implementation of patient care across the unit. Participate in
the development and evaluation of nursing practices and procedures.
Facilitate continuous education programs and staff development
training. Manage patient care with a multidisciplinary team. Ensure
all healthcare regulations and safety standards are met.
Communicate effectively with patients, family, and medical staff.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families. Strong
leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills Proficient in EMR systems and healthcare
technology Ability to handle stressful situations and make
decisions under pressure Deep understanding of patient care and
nursing processes Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of
practice BLS/ACLS Certification Preferably certified in a specialty
area, such as Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Certified
Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN)
