weeks Start Date: 01/15/2026 Job Description: The Director of
Nursing (DON) for Mercy Harvard Care Center is responsible for
coordinating and facilitating nursing care activities to improve
continuity of care across the continuum under the direction of the
MHCC director for nursing care practice. The DON assists the MHCC
administrator with developing and implementing policies and
procedures to meet regulatory requirements and provides continuing
education to ensure staff competency. Responsibilities also include
leadership in quality maintenance programs, acting as a patient
advocate, and providing consultative direction and expertise in
nursing services. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and vision
to develop departmental objectives, standards of nursing practice,
and policy and procedure manuals. Coordinate nursing services with
other resident services for continuity of care. Oversee assessment,
planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation in case
management. Organize resident care programs including the
interdisciplinary team, restorative care program, and other
necessary programs. Enforce department policies and guide infection
control practices. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing
program; BSN required upon hire. 2-4 years of experience in a
supervisory position in long-term care nursing or as a
leader/manager. Working knowledge of reimbursement systems and
State/Federal Regulations within Long Term Care and TJC. Licensed
as an RN in the state of practice. Approved CPR certification
