Complete all aspects of grooming (brushing, bathing, nail trims, etc.) to ensure pets look and feel their best. Monitor pets in your care, follow handling best practices, and respond appropriately to signs of stress or health concerns. Build trust with neighbors by providing excellent service, clear communication, and thoughtful product/service recommendations. Keep grooming areas sanitary, organized, and inviting in alignment with safety and animal care standards. What We're Looking For: Graduate of a grooming school OR 2 years of professional grooming experience Proficiency in breed-standard cuts and grooming techniques Must supply your own professional grooming tools Adherence of salon safety procedures and industry standards Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods About LH Mercantile: LH Mercantile, LLC is a franchisee of Pet Supplies Plus that currently has 16 locations throughout the Chicago suburbs and Northwest Indiana. We offer self-service pet washes and full-service grooming and provide curbside pickup, delivery, and autoship services.
