We are seeking to add a third surgeon to our fast-growing 24-hour emergency/specialty practice located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. Our surgery department has been established for over 12 years. Our current surgery department is staffed with two surgeons, licensed CVT's, veterinary assistants, and surgical care coordinators. VCA Arboretum View Animal Hospital's purpose is to make a significant positive difference in the lives of the people and animals that it serves. The hospital provides state-of-the-art health care services for companion animals in a compassionate fashion.

In addition to our Surgery Department, we offer specialty services in Dermatology, Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Neurology, Rehabilitation, and are actively searching to add Oncology. VCA Arboretum View Animal Hospital also has an established General Practice. Our doctors enjoy having the ability to have a collaborative approach to our patients to ensure our patients receive the best quality of care.

VCA Arboretum View has newly renovated surgery suites, a multislice (16 slice) CT, GE ultrasound, and a GE 1 Tesla MRI. We are proud to be 1 of only 7 hospitals to have an integrated operating room (Storz OR1), which allows multiple imaging modalities (endoscopy, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound) to be displayed on multiple monitors simultaneously.

We will always support our specialists with all of the tools they need to practice the type of surgery they want to practice. Specific surgical equipment includes: Synthes TPLO equipment, LCP, LCDCP, DCP, and SOP plates, laparoscopy and arthroscopy, LigaSure, TA/GIA staplers, hall surgairtome drill, and others. Our onsite rehabilitation department is equipped with underwater treadmill, laser therapy and ultrasound therapy.

All of our surgical patients recover in our Intensive Care Unit, which is staffed 24 hours daily with veterinarians and technicians.
