Development Director will be responsible for achieving sales
targets within a specific region, focusing on building strong
customer relationships, executing sales strategies, and supporting
business growth. This role includes a blend of customer-facing
activities, team collaboration, and sales performance
management.Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Relationship Management
- Achieve regional sales targets by developing new and existing
customer relationships.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand their needs and
position company solutions effectively.
- Convert and support long-term agreements with key regional
customers to circumvent business and achieve healthy growth
- Sales Strategy and Market Expansion
- Implement regional sales plans aligned with company objectives
to drive revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the region
to expand market share.
- Support initiatives to promote brand awareness, including
participation in trade shows and exhibitions.
- Team Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with the inside sales team to coordinate responses
to large RFQs and lead contract negotiations as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent
customer service and ensure alignment with customer
requirements.
- Reporting and Performance Management
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, including
pipeline status.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, adjusting strategies as
necessary to achieve goals.
- Participate in regular team meetings, sharing insights, and
discussing potential improvements.Competencies and Key Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in sales and customer relationship
management within the aviation or similar sector.
- Strong communication, networking, and negotiation skills, with
the ability to close deals effectively.
- Solid organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power
BI) is a plus.
- A proactive and motivated attitude, with a focus on meeting or
exceeding targets.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven
environment.Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of KPIs relevant to sales performance
- Ability to work independently with 70% travel for client
meetings and events.
- Experienced in presenting to C-suite levelRequired Skills:
- Experience working with Airlines, MROs, or in related
