Are you ready to join an organization that will help unlock your potential?Equitable is looking for a Market Director, Business Development to join and support our Central Complex team.This is a key role responsible for driving growth and expanding our business development opportunities within a defined territory.You will work remotely in the Central Complex (IL, MI, MN & WI) Territory.Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a recruiting pipeline within a defined territory.
  • Develop strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Maintain notes and tracking of pipeline activities
  • Effectively communicate the Equitable Advisor Value Proposition to potential recruits and partners.
  • Evaluate advisor practices to ensure they are portable and compliant with company standards.
  • Create a high-quality lead flow and ensure continuous multi-sourced pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships between HQ partners and field leaders.
  • Maintain strong industry knowledge to stay informed about market trends and competitive landscape.The base salary for this position is $150,000.     • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
    • 7+ years of financial services or wealth management industry experience.
    • Deep understanding of advisor practice management.
    • Expert knowledge of financial products and client solutions.Preferred Qualifications
      • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and Series 65 registrations.
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
      • Excellent communication and follow-through skills.SkillsFinancial Services Industry:Knowledge of financial services industry trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations and trendsetters; ability to provide specific financial advice to clients.
        Influencing:Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
        Negotiating:Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
        Producing Results:Understanding of the criticality of getting things done in spite of current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.
        Prospecting:Knowledge of prospecting principles, processes and skills; ability to identify and engage potential customers in the market.
        Sales Closing and Agreements:Knowledge of sales closing and agreements related processes, techniques and skills; ability to close deals and reach final sales agreements.
        Sales Proposals and Presentations:Knowledge of sales processes, tools, and techniques; ability to prepare and present formal recommendations for how the organization can meet the customer's needs.
        Territory Management:Knowledge of territory management practices, tools and techniques; ability to manage and maximize insurance business performance for one or multiple geographical area(s).ABOUT EQUITABLE
