technical experience supporting high performance global clients on
optimization, product development, industrial engineering, and
manufacturing capital projects.We are looking for an Account
Manager to join our growing Merkur team in the US Headquarters in
Downers Grove, IL. Working with members of our Global Business
Development team, your focus is to make sure that Merkur is the
customer's firm of choice and is seen as their best advocate for
accomplishing their goals. You will initially support our major
clients and develop new business opportunities in the greater
Chicago area. The position is ultimately responsible for
collaborating with our clients and helping them with their
different needs in terms of manufacturing/machinery projects. To

- Participates in market intelligence and development
strategies
- Responsible for prospecting of new markets, building and
maintaining relationships with new and potential customers
- Participates in different networking events and trade
shows
- Presents Merkur's service offering, engaging prospective
customers and reengage existing customers
- Works in collaboration with operations, sales, and human
resources teams
- Contributes into positioning Merkur as a strategic partner to
its customers
- Crafts targeted strategies designed to meet specific client
needs
- Makes recommendations based on internal and external factors.
Designs and implements action plans.
- Accurately documents all sales and outreach activity within an
assigned region using Deltek according to project protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or demonstrated
equivalency of experience and/or education
- Customer Relationship Management experience
- 10+ years of experience in business development (experience in
the field of manufacturing an asset)
- Familiar with digital tools and social networks
- Entrepreneurial qualities
- Knowledge of the manufacturing sector and of project
management
- Dynamic personality who wants to achieve concrete results
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- A valid drivers' license
- Strong team player and consensus builder skilled in technical
writing communicating and presenting to clientsCompetencies:
