Job Description:

seeking a Grant Manager to join its team in Downers Grove,
IL.Responsible for researching funding opportunities and providing
grant management; assisting in the preparation of grant
budgets.Will conceptualize, plan, implement, coordinate and monitor
all grants making sure that all Letter(s) of Intent LOI(s) and
grant applications are received on time.Organizes, directs,
coordinates and implements the preparation and issuance of grant
proposals to various funding agencies such as Federal, State, and
local governments as well as faith based funding agencies.Will
develop, plan, guide and expedite the timely preparation, program
staff input, printing, review approval and submittal of grant
proposals to various funding agencies.Responsible for maintaining
an electronic and paper filing system.Other duties as assigned
within the guidelines of this position.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:Researches new funding opportunities for the Agency and
coordinates the application process.Responsible for all aspects of
obtaining support from private and corporate foundations and
funding sources requiring proposals for Agency projects and
initiatives.Responsible for the grant proposal development
including writing, assembling, editing, follow-up, and printing
proposals and distributing the completed proposal to the funding
sources and other authorized recipients both within and outside the
Agency in a timely basis.Responsible for developing, entering and
tracking grant data into the appropriate software and grant
activity spreadsheet. Maintains financial and program data/outcome
information up to date and accurate to ensure that reporting
requirements are timely and accurate.Prepare progress reports as
needed on grants and arranges for the necessary staff
assistance.Collaborate with Program Directors to ensure each funded
projects or program is meeting proposal conditions and
expectation.Assist program employees in the preparation of monthly,
quarterly and annual progress reports for Agency grants and
foundation funders as necessary.Attend funder trainings and
informational meetings and encourage programmatic employees to
attend these meetings if related to their programs.Assist in the
fund raising efforts of the Agency as needed.Develop and conduct
training for Agency Directors on the grant management process.Write
memos, letters, and other forms of correspondence regarding grant
management.Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Business
Administration or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of
experience writing, editing, and coordinating grant proposals; or a
High School Diploma with ten (10) years of experience writing,
editing, and coordinating grant proposals. All degrees must come
from a regionally accredited educational institution which has U.S.
Department of Education approval.Certification from the American
Grant Writer's Association (AGWA) or Grant Professionals
Association (GPA) is preferred.Experience in writing grants and
successfully having received funding from the United Way, Housing
and Urban Development (HUD), State and Federal grants a
plus.Experience in writing grants and successfully having received
funding from corporate, community, and family foundations is
preferred.Experience in using online grant software such as Apricot
and Zoom is a plus.Must be detail oriented and have strong
organizational skills.Demonstrated success in multi-tasking and
meet strict deadlines. Must be energetic and demonstrate an ability
to follow through/complete projects with minimal supervision while
maintaining quality results.Excellent public speaking skills to
articulate the mission, vision and values of the Agency.Ability
work effectively with individuals from all racial, cultural and
socioeconomic backgrounds.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft
Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Teams.Excellent
command of grammar, spelling and writing skills; overall strong
verbal and written communications skills.Passage of complete
background clearance, Tuberculosis (TB) Test, and any other
required testing or clearances.A valid driver's license, reliable
means of transportation and proof of liability insurance is
required.
