Job Summary:
The Director CI (Training) is responsible for leading and developing all facets of the Continuous Improvement training. In addition, this roll is responsible for the standardization and best practice sharing of training for skilled and semi-skilled labor programs. The Director CI (Training) will lead the efforts to bring calibration, new or improved tools and content, to the organization; which will lead to a reduction in safety metrics, an improvement in first-pass quality, a reduction in customer complaints/product waste, and an improvement in overall production through-put and efficiency.

Job Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Partner with Leadership in developing and executing a company Lean strategy across the organization develops a knowledge at all levels.
Partner with Leadership in developing and executing a company strategy across the organization in relation to building a skilled and semi-skilled employee training program.
Develop and execute the framework for the skilled and semi-skilled employees training program.
Build and maintain a sustainable training culture for skilled and semi-skilled employees.
Create and deploy metrics to measure success for the skilled and semi-skilled employee training program.
By partnering with your team, CI partners, OPS Leaders, deploy one standardize skilled and semi-skilled employee program to grow our employee's knowledge.
Improve and deploy the Lean training strategy to implemented across the organization.
Accelerate results by improving continuous improvement and change management process tools and activities at all levels of the organization.
Responsible for leading, developing and assisting with Hearthside Performance System (HPS) tools to improve all areas of manufacturing to multiple plants.
Support and drive collaborative thinking and problem-solving to drive results, thinks strategically and executes effectively.
Develop, train, and mentor others in the use of Lean tools, approaches, and techniques to create a culture of continuous improvement while improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
Benchmark both internally and externally best practices into HPS
Responsible for managing multiple projects at the same time.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
Comply with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law.
Comply with all Company rules, regulations and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel required 50% of the time.

Required Competencies & Knowledge:
Knowledge of:
Manufacturing operations, scheduling, procurement, products, and production processes
Knowledge and experience with SAP
Knowledge and experience with Lean manufacturing

Skill in:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with autonomy.
Must be accurate, detail-oriented and maintain the utmost confidentiality.

Ability to:
Ability to effectively present information to employees, top management, public groups and/or board of directors.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to work well with others in stressful situations and meet deadlines as necessary.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while at the same time making sound decisions.
Must have a strong will to drive change and sustain.

Proficiency in: MS Office Suite, Excel, SAP, and PPT

Work Environment:
Maintain harmonious working relations with employees from all departments.
Maintain harmonious working relations with management from all levels.
Communicate effectively with all employees and management.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Training, Business, or related field required.
5(five) plus year's experience in Training or Continuous Improvement (lean manufacturing) function; Bakery experience a plus.
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), SQF and 5S preferred.
Lean/Kaizen/TPM certification a plus.
