Job Description:

PRIMARY Under the direction of the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, the Vice President of Business and Competitive Intelligence is responsible for leading the vision for organizational data collection and analytics to support a wide range of business decisions - ranging from operational to strategic. The VP is responsible for combining fragmented data silos (external/internal) such as financial and operational, to create relevant company intelligence for use in defining and achieving organization goals and objectives. This position will use a variety of sources to gain insight into market forces (both healthcare and non-healthcare), trends, and technologies to inform company-wide improvements and innovations, which can help define a differentiated product vision and market value positioning for DMG. This position will partner with the senior management team to support the long-range strategic vision and serves as an advocate for the modernization of organizational practices and decision making which will maximize return on investment and optimize patient outcomes. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs and administers the Business and Competitive Intelligence strategy and efforts organization-wide
  • Monitors and analyzes market performance, competitive intelligence, market research to identify key growth opportunities and challenges facing the organization to better define actions and tactics to advance the organization toward its strategic objectives
  • Develops and recommends top-level strategies derived from external and internal data, to improve organizational decision making, procedures, and practices
  • Promotes effective communication and coordination of B&CI initiatives across the organization
  • Partner with the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer by framing clear strategic choices through data-informed practices and help to build consensus among senior leaders
  • Participates as a key member of the Strategy Management, Brand, Patient Experience and Digital Transformation Committees
  • Define and implement lifetime value measurements to optimize DMG's long-term brand value
  • Assist with the evaluation of acquisition and partnership opportunities MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Education
    • Bachelor's Degree required in Business
    • MBA preferred Experience
      • 10+ years' experience in innovation, research, strategic planning and/or business development
      • Growth orientation with track record of success
      • Strong leadership, presentation, and organizational skills
      • Strong problem-solving skills, using an analytical approach, and consultative "partner-focused" approach
      • Travel upon need
      • Prefer a minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a designer. Healthcare marketing experience is preferred but not necessary MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA)
        • Track record of success in building and implementing programs that inform and motivate a large, decentralized workforce with various levels
        • Ability to lead through change and fortitude to react quickly to new information
        • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze information, compare, contrast, trend data and draw conclusions
        • Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
        • Oral Communication: Listens openly and clearly conveys messages and information, using various aides
        • Written Communication and Comprehension: Writes clearly using appropriate grammar, symbols, and medical terminology. Able to decipher and comprehend documentation provided by key stakeholders, and is able to read research results
        • Creativity: Ability to generate ideas and solutions to routine challenges and new ventures and help craft a vision for the future of DMG and healthcare
        • Team Work: Works effectively with team members to accomplish objectives and goals. Can also take initiative and work autonomously
        • Multi-tasking: Able to properly perform multiple duties at once
        • Resilience: Effectively manages stress in a fast-paced setting
        • Leadership: Appropriately optimistic and inspiring. Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction
        • Data Management and Analysis: Recommend and utilize best practices in data capture, management, analysis, synthesis, and reporting to form executive decision recommendations
