Job Description Civil Engineer – Land Development (Chicago / Downers Grove, IL) Are you a driven Civil Engineer with a passion for shaping the built environment? We’re looking for talented individuals to join our team; working out of headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois to play a key role in designing infrastructure for a variety of land development projects. What You’ll Do Lead design work for site infrastructure : pavement, roadways, grading/earthwork, erosion control Develop water distribution and sanitary sewer systems, storm sewer networks, and stormwater management systems Create drainage solutions, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs), and erosion control strategies Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams on projects spanning warehouse/distribution centers, schools, offices, retail, healthcare, and recreational developments Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring design quality, constructability, and timely delivery What You’ll Gain Hands-on experience in a diverse portfolio of land development projects Exposure to all phases of design: planning, grading, utilities, stormwater, and more A collaborative, supportive environment in a well-established firm headquartered in Downers Grove Opportunity to grow your technical skill set and professional credentials (PE support, mentorship, etc.) Competitive compensation and benefits (to be discussed during application) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering 2 years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills Apply now and help us design the next generation of infrastructure in the Chicago area!
