Job Description:

Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Location: Darien, IL -

Pay Rate: -Salary commensurate with experience.

Duration of Job: Direct





DUTIES: Lead mechanical projects and manage a team throughout the project. Apply sound engineering and machine design principles to design of custom engineered equipment. Create/modify/update - mechanical drawing, BOM's. Analyze existing designs and recommend improvements. Mentor engineers/designers on best practices for machine design. Perform site inspections and supervise equipment installations. Assist in troubleshooting & debugging equipment. Assist the checking of drawings and analyze tolerance stack ups. Assist developing engineering and drafting standards. Issue and complete ECO's.



REQUIREMENTS:

SME OR EQUIVALENT. 10 OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. Computer skills Autodesk INVENTOR PREFERRED, AutoCAD.

Understand manufacturing -processes (machining, welding, general fabrication) strong FEA background. - Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standards. P. E. license and machining/fabrication background - a plus. - 15% availability to travel. - -
