Valid has an outstanding opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer (System Administrator) -based in our Downers Grove manufacturing plant. What will you do?

• Linux and Windows System hardening and auditing
• User account administration
• Windows and Linux server administration and -patching
• Incident Management on-call shifts
• Automation of routine tasks
• Compliance and audit readiness
• Weekend and after hours availability (if required) What are we looking for?
  • Associate's Degree (or higher) in Information Technology
  • Hands on experience with RedHat 7 and above, Ubuntu 16.04 and later and CentOS 7 and above
  • Experience in Linux and Windows Operating Systems installation, software, -patch management and OS administration
  • Working experience with Zabbix, Wazuh and other LInux and Windows auditing and monitoring tools
  • Operating System patching skills on Linux and Windows Server Operating systems
  • Good knowledge about Linux -and Windows operating system files, boot process and run levels
  • Familiarity with the configuration and maintenance of server hardware and peripherals
  • Familiarity with security compliances such as PCI and ISO27001
  • General system administration expertise
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen prior to employment
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is preferred. What we offer:
