Equivalent ExperienceDescription:Position Overview:* Our company is searching for a skilled, experienced and a hands-on CNC Programmer/Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, the successful applicant will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of numerically controlled (CNC) milling machines.Essential Job Functions/Requirements:* Set-up, monitor and troubleshoot various CNC machines (Primarily Milling machines)* Follow setup instructions, verify supplied part programs, and make minor edits.* Ability to read and understand engineering BluePrints.* Inspect parts prior to QA submission and make necessary minor adjustments as needed to meet process prints.* Interprets CMM chart data to correct setup/operating errors.* Trains Operators on machine functionality and inspection criteria/ process (SPC).* Monitors Operator quality and productivity.* Responsible for safety, housekeeping and scrap within designated cells.* Preferred experience in machining forgings and alloy steels and maintaining tight production tolerances.* Demonstrated ability to read basic BluePrints and follow specific instructions and procedures.* Ability to organize, prioritize and plan daily work assignments in a self-directed changing environment.* Knowledge of basic shop math and GD&T.* Ability to use measuring tools like height gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, Vernier calipers etc.* Understanding of metal-cutting applications and good machine practices.* Understanding and editing of CNC programs - G&M codes* Programming knowledge with ESPRIT - Will consider MasterCAM.Relevant Milling Machines:* Mori Seiki Models -NMV3000 DCG, NH-500 DCG/40, UltaMill V3000* Yama Seiki VMB 1020, Brother TC-32A* Doosan DV5100, DNM 350/5AX, DNM 4500MUST:* Five years of experience working within a CNC/Machining precision component based environment* Experience setting up prototype runs for CNC Milling machines - They have 15-16 milling machines within their operation - 1-2 setup per day* Ability to read and interpret BluePrints and GD&T symbols* Ability to program on the machine using G&M Codes* Ability to program offline utilizing CAD/CAM. They use ESPRIT but willing to consider MasterCAM. This is an absolute requirement as they will not consider candidates without offline programming knowledgePLUS:* ESPRIT experience* Ability to create tooling and fixtures with CAD based software.
