Job Description About The Gan - Early childhood center is a
community based non-profit, serving as a hub for young Jewish
families to connect and participate in Jewish life. The Gan
flagship program is a full service daycare serving children 6 weeks
to 3 years old. Providing nurturing, loving care while building a
strong community is our number one goal. We are committed to
helping families raise well-rounded and self-confident children
ready for Preschool with refined social-emotional, motor, and
cognitive skills. We're looking for someone who is looking to grow

values. Job Description To provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and
loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence
encouraged, and individuality is respected. To aid the Director
when needed as well as doing secretarial work and provide
leadership in overall maintenance and productivity in all center
activities. This is an incredibly unique role. This candidate must
be flexible, understanding, hardworking, and goal oriented. Perfect
for someone who is looking to learn and master the Director role.
This position will start primarily as a Lead Infant or Toddler
teacher with Assistant Director responsibilities growing as the
center grows. 1 year in Jewish childcare center preferred.
Responsibilities To offer a program that meets the emotional,
physical, intellectual, and social needs of both the individual and
the group. To interact with the children and to encourage their
involvement in activities. To prepare a warm and safe environment
that is orderly, clean, and appealing which permit---s the child to
grow and explore. To use appropriate and positive discipline and to
train the aide so that discipline is consistent. To plan lessons
based on a curriculum outline. To provide assistants with the
opportunity to have input to program. To observe, record, and
report significant individual and group behavior. To maintain all
records and files. To supervise, train, and evaluate assistants. To
establish and maintain good communication with parents through
monthly staff, monthly theme calendars, parent/teacher conferences,
and on a daily informal basis. To keep staff informed of program
goals and developments with children, parents, and administrators.
To attend staff orientation, staff meetings, class programs, and
other functions. To prepare material needed in the program. To
provide overall leadership to other staff members and be a role
model of the center Help The Director in established tasks and
projects when needed. Be open to learning new concepts, show
flexibility and understanding with staffing plan, and ready to
learn what it takes to be a Director. Additional Prior to
employment, employee shall submit a dated report of satisfactory TB
test or chest X-ray taken within six months prior of beginning
employment. Such tests needed not be repeated except at the advice
of a licensed physician or the local health department. Employee
shall present to the center a dated medical physical form, signed
by a licensed physician, a licensed nurse practitioner, or a
licensed physicians assistant, verifying that he/she suffers no
physical or known emotional illness which would adversely effect
child care. This medical form shall be dated no more than six
months prior to employment. The employee shall obtain a subsequent
statement every two years or at the time interval recommended by
the physician, nurse practitioner, or physician---s assistant. The
staff member shall submit a list of known immunizations he/she has
had and most recent dates when immunized. An employee, upon
examination or as a result of testing, shows any indication of a
physical, emotional, or mental condition which could be hazardous
to a child, other staff, and which would prevent satisfactory
performance of their duties, shall not be assigned or returned to a
position until the condition is cleared to the satisfaction of the
examining physician. All personal shall be excluded from the center
when they have an infectious illness. Benefits Packages to be
discussed with candidates Education Sixty semester or 90 quarter
hours of credit from an accredited college or university with 18
semester or 27 quarter hours in courses related directly to child
care and/or child development from birth to age 6; Two years (3120
clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school,
kindergarten, or licensed day care center, 30 semester or 45
quarter hours of college credits with 10 semester or 15 quarter
hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child
development, and proof of enrollment in an accredited college or
university until 2 years of college credit have been achieved. A
total of 18 semester or 27 quarter hours in courses related
directly to child care and/or child development is required to be
obtained within the total 2 years of college credits; or Completion
of a credentialing program approved in accordance with Appendix G
of this Part, completion of 12 semester or 18 quarter hours in
courses related to child care and/or child development from birth
to age 6 at an accredited college or university, and 2 years (3120
clock hours) child development experience in a nursery school,
kindergarten or licensed day care center. Company Description The
