Job Description:
Glanbia Performance Nutrition is a wholly owned subsidiary of
Glanbia located in Downers Grove, Illinois. GPN's brand portfolio
consists of - Optimum Nutrition, BSN, Isopure, Think!, Nutramino
ABB, Body & Fit, Amazing Grass and SlimFast, each with its own
brand essence. GPN manufactures and markets the full range of
performance nutrition and lifestyle products including protein,
pre-workout, muscle gainers, ready-to-eat snacks and general
health. Products are sold through a variety of channels including
specialty retail, the internet, gyms and FDM in a variety of
formats including powders, bars and Ready-to-Drink beverages. GPN
has a global and expanding footprint with a current in-market
presence in 24 countries.
Job Summary: The Copywriter is responsible for the
conceptualization, development, and writing of compelling content
for GPN brands. The Copywriter will write for social media,
digital, video, print, and provide a robust content strategy for
campaigns across all channels.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not
limited to:
Work with Creative Services team to create and edit any copy needs
across multiple GPN brands to create engaging headlines, slogans,
body copy, scripts, and posts.
Understanding and mastering GPN brand tones and voices, as well as
in-depth knowledge of how those consistently apply within specific
regions that GPN brands exist within.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including legal, scientific
affairs and regulatory for risk management and approvals.
Taking a creative brief and generating original copy ideas from it
to present to the wider team for feedback.
Continually assess the alignment of content to the brand's
strategic objectives
Participate in content creation workshops with brand teams
Attend brain-storming sessions for creative campaigns.
Collaborating with content creation within the digital design
team
Collaboration with brand teams (internal clients) and external
media buying teams
Work within legal and regulatory guardrails at times to create copy
that is exciting and fresh.
Understanding and learning different language styles that appeal to
various target markets.
Conducting research to formulate ideas or support writing.
Routinely connect with Creative Services Project Manager to ensure
all projects and tasks are in-progress and tracking towards
successfully meeting deadlines
Routinely connect with Creative Director, Digital Creative
Director, and Digital Strategist on any and all copy related
queries, as well as provide updates on projects as needed.
Familiarity with commonly used brand guidelines and style
guides.
Qualifications, Requirements:
2 years of experience or more preferred within agency or industry;
self-motivated and passionate about CPG brands
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects,
negotiate and conceive of new ideas in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional oral and written communicator capable of explaining
complex and/or abstract ideas in clear and succinct terms for
senior management, executives, trade customers and consumers
alike
Exceptional analytical, creative, planning, organizational, and
prioritization skills in a fast-paced and fluid business
environment
Well-developed inter-personal and team-building skills or
exceptional aptitude for developing same
