Senior Cost Accountant A leading manufacturer known for its innovative, vertically integrated operations is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join its finance team. This opportunity is open due to an internal promotion - highlighting the organization's commitment to developing and advancing its talent. The Role: Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Senior Cost Accountant will work cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to support financial accuracy, drive operational efficiencies, and strengthen budgeting processes. Key Responsibilities: Partner with plant management to manage and monitor budgets. Handle monthly close activities related to inventory, standard cost variances, and excess reserves. Oversee inventory monitoring and standard costing processes. Prepare detailed data for quarterly financial reviews. Support capital expenditure management across multiple projects, including reconciliations and depreciation runs. Serve as a backup for time tracking, P-card expenditure management, and expense reporting through Concur. Continuously seek opportunities to learn, take initiative, and assume new responsibilities from finance leadership. Ideal Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. 3 years of experience in a manufacturing cost accounting role, preferably with standard costing. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas); Power BI exposure is a plus. Hands-on experience working with operations teams and plant leadership. Why This Role?
