Accounting Manager ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is a growing logistics and transportation company The culture is highly collaborative and positive for environment Competitive salary $80,000-$110,000 depending on experience Stable industry Vital part of company Sell a quality product, big part of Chicagoland economy Privately owned Invest heavily in employees and technology at company Have a lot of autonomy over the role and room for improvements They partner to proved customers with the best service RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER: Manage corporate allocations, prepaid insurance and other insurance allocations Assist with ad hoc projects Maintain corporate accruals, manage internal reporting, leases, corporate general ledger maintenance Manage a team of 3-7 File state sales tax and federal excise tax Lead month-end close Analyze monthly results and ensuring all adjusting journal entries are complete EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER ROLE: Bachelor Degree in Accounting CPA and/or MBA 7 years of relevant accounting experience Transportation, retail or logistics industry experience Well versed in GAAP Sales tax and excise tax experience LI-SP2 ZRCFS
