Position: Plant Controller Location: South Elgin area (On-site) Compensation: $130,000 - $140,000 base salary Why This Plant Controller opportunity Stands Out: Competitive Compensation : Base salary up to $140K with a 15% bonus plan (historically pays out at least 50% if not 100% of plan) Strong Benefits : Health, dental, vision, and 401K match (50% up to 6%) High Visibility : Work closely with the Corporate HQ out of state and Plant GM on site Career Longevity : Many division and corporate controllers have been with the company for decades Stability & Simplicity : Not flashy-just a reliable, mature business with products on shelves in most grocery stores Annual Travel : One trip per year to a sunny and warm destination Leadership Role : Lead a team of four accounting professionals As the Plant Controller , You will: Own all financial activities for the division, including reporting, general ledger, AP, inventory, and cost accounting Deliver accurate and timely GAAP-compliant financial statements Drive budgeting and forecasting tied to production volumes and utilities using Excel based reporting Lead cost center analysis and operational cost accounting improvements Modernize accounting processes and foster continuous improvement Collaborate closely with the Corporate Controller and Plant GM to support strategic planning Mentor and develop a few reports on your accounting team What We're Looking for in a Plant Controller : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred) 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience At least 2 years of people management experience Solid expertise in plant-level standard manufacturing cost accounting This Plant Controller role is ideal for a hands-on leader ready to bring clarity and consistency to a key operation.
