SummaryThis Auditor will assist with the completion of the Audit
Plan and other assurance projects as assigned by audit leadership.
This role will work closely with the auditor in charge and audit
manager to perform certain tasks during the planning, fieldwork and
reporting audit phases. Additionally, this Auditor will be
responsible for workpaper quality and timeliness and must possess
strong written and oral communication skills to communicate with
team members and to communicate audit results to management. Team
members are encouraged to think creatively, challenge current
processes, build relationships, identify, and evaluate emerging
risks, and hold themselves and teammates accountable in a flexible
and delivery driven environment.What You'll Do
- Execute testing in accordance with department and IIA
standards, producing clear and concise documentation that aligns
with test objectives.
- Apply analytical skills to review information, assess audit
results, and evaluate adequacy of controls.
- Participate in process walkthroughs and document narratives and
conclusions.
- Timely communicate with audit team and audit clients. Keep
engagement supervisor and/or audit clients informed as to status of
work.
- Perform issue validation as needed.
- Maintain professional standards as defined by IIA, Internal
Audit Charter, and company policies.
- Obtain and maintain an awareness of organizational, procedural,
and technological changes that have occurred / planned to occur
within responsible areas.
- Develop positive working relationship and maintain effective
communication with audit leadership team, audit team members, audit
clients, and key stakeholders.Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or
university, with a major in Accounting, Business Administration,
Finance, or related field of study
- 0 to 3 years of relevant audit experience in public accounting
or internal audit
- Knowledge of internal audit processes (i.e., sampling, testing,
and process/control walkthroughs) and workpaper documentation
skills
- Candidate pursuing a relevant certification (CIA, CPA, or CFE)
a plus
- Experience in utilizing computer-assisted audit tools and
techniques as well as internal audit management software
