- Business Services The Staff Accountant is responsible for various
functions in the Business Services department including oversight
of Concur expense reporting, managing and reconciling the
University procurement card program, journal entries, account
reconciliations, completion of analytical reports and other duties
as assigned. This individual will report to the Director of
Accounting. -Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight of functions in Concur including review of expense
reports submitted in Concur to ensure expense reports are in
accordance with policy, reconciliation of p-cards to Concur, card
management, and maintaining and reconciling the Concur G/L
interface
- Perform monthly journal entries
- Complete account reconciliations including bank reconciliations
and research and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and disseminate financial reports
- Assist Senior Accountant in fixed asset tagging and fixed asset
inventories
- Produce accurate financial information and interpret financial
data to complete annual surveysSupervisory Responsibilities This

with preference for a degree in accounting or related field. 3-5
years of accounting or financial administration experience
required. Computer Skills Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word,
Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) required. Experience with
Concur desired.Language Skills Intermediate skills: Ability to read
and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write
routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively
before groups of customers or employees of organization.Reasoning
Ability Intermediate skills: Ability to apply common sense
understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral
or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations.Mathematical
AbilityBasic skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to
interpret bar graphs. -Physical DemandsThe physical demands
